• ARTISTS' ALPHABET #1: The Great Recession is the first undertaking of Powder Room Projects (PRP), created by D Jean Hester. PRP’s goal is to be an accessible, flexible, small-scale, and sustainable creative platform that will encourage collaboration and exchange amongst artists. The Artist’s Alphabet #1 is comprised of a book and a website in conjunction with an exhibition at Project_210. Participating artists create projects for two or three letters which they’ve selected at random. The artists also each contribute to collaborative projects for the remaining letters. All 26 pieces are then combined into a book. The organic nature of Powder Room Projects and this initial project is expected to instigate unpredictable adventures and intriguing outcomes.
